About Me

Jasmine Cooper is a Chicago native and award-winning multimedia producer, writer, and editor with more than 15 years of experience in television, radio, and digital storytelling. She currently serves as a Producer at Weigel Broadcasting in Chicago, Illinois.

In addition to her work at Weigel, Jasmine is a freelance voice artist, lending her voice to brands such as McDonald’s, Allstate, Liberty Tax, and many others.

Throughout her career, Jasmine has held a variety of leadership and production roles, including Segment & Booking Producer for WCIU’s On The Block in partnership with Block Club Chicago, Digital Producer for NewsNation, Executive Show Producer and News Producer for WGN Radio, Communications Specialist at Joliet Junior College, Desk Assistant at CBS 2 Chicago, and Commercial Production Supervisor at WHLT-22 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Jasmine earned her Master’s degree in Journalism from DePaul University in 2016. Before becoming a Blue Demon, she was a proud Golden Eagle at The University of Southern Mississippi, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communication in 2012.

When she’s not producing, Jasmine enjoys dancing, spending time with family and friends.
