About Me

Jasmine Cooper is a Chicago-based award-winning multimedia producer, writer, and editor with 15 years of experience in television, radio, print and digital storytelling. She currently serves as a Producer at Weigel Broadcasting in Chicago, where she produces 26 N. Halsted with George Blaise and additional community affairs programming.

In addition to her production work, Jasmine is a freelance voice artist whose clients include brands such as McDonald’s, Allstate, Liberty Tax, and others.

Throughout her career, she has held a range of leadership and production roles, including Segment & Booking Producer for WCIU’s On The Block in partnership with Block Club Chicago, Digital Producer for NewsNation, Executive Show Producer and News Producer for WGN Radio, Communications Specialist at Joliet Junior College, Desk Assistant at CBS 2 Chicago, and Commercial Production Supervisor at WHLT-22 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Jasmine earned her Master’s degree in Journalism from DePaul University in 2016. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communication at The University of Southern Mississippi in 2012.

Outside of her professional work, Jasmine enjoys dancing and spending quality time with family and friends.
